Coolants & Lubricants

Coolants & lubricants for effective grinding

The coolants and lubricants we produce are tuned and concerted with our tools. Using our coolants increases their stock removal rates and secures their consistent performance.

Our coolants simultaneously improve the surface finish on the processed parts, which subsequently cuts down polishing time.

Coolants & Lubricants

PP-1

dopa PP-1 is a highly efficient cooling and lubricating concentrate. It is ready for use, just after dilution with clean water.

PP-1 ensures high removal rates as well as excellent heat transfer and cooling properties directly in the cutting zone. Due to its chemical composition the residue of the removed material is bound instantly and taken away via your cascade/centrifuge/filter. It enables you to achieve top level surface quality on several materials such as glass, ceramics, metal and secure a long lifetime of your tools.

SZ-51

This cooling and lubricating fluid has been developed especially for processing sapphire. It is to be diluted in a higher ratio with water and is used for ultra-hard materials such as sapphire.

Benefits of coolants & lubricants:

  • Excellent water solubility
  • Clear fluid with very mild inherent odor
  • Contains defoamer
  • Outstanding usage duration during the grinding process
  • Excellent cooling properties for enhanced process control
  • Ensures an exceptionally high cutting capacity, which helps you to save time and money

Polishing Slurry Systems

High Precision Supply and Temperature Control

We build efficient systems for high precision supply and temperature control of polishing slurries and suspensions. These can be utilized in the area of high precision machining and are suitable for polishing machines or other machines that require precision temperature-controlled fluid feed or applications where you want to recycle fluids.

dopa polishing slurry systems have electronic temperature control, quick couplings on all electrical connections and media lines as well as different chilling options:

  • Water-Water-Chiller (WW) for connection to central cooling system or external cooling unit
  • Self-chilling stand-alone unit with integrated Air-Water-Chiller (AW)

Various further options are available upon request. We build polishing slurry systems according to your needs. Please contact us to discuss your specifications.

Polishing Slurry Systems 15l, 30l und 40l

Benefits of dopa polishing slurry systems

  • Compact design
  • Heating and cooling through outer tank walls prevent incrustations and agglomeration of polishing powders
  • Enables finer and more consistent polishing grades
  • Minimization of media-contacting components
  • High precision temperature control
  • Smooth surfaces without corners and edges enable easy cleaning of the entire system from the inside and outside

Coolant filtration systems

Recycling, filtration and temperature controlled

We build efficient coolant filtration systems for processing, filtering, pumping and temperature
controlling coolants and cutting fluids. Our coolant filtration systems can be utilized in the machining of glass, ceramics and metals. They are suitable for grinding, generating, sawing and milling machines and serve as a substitute for centrifuges. The integrated water-water-chiller can be connected with the central cooling system or external cooling unit.

The combination of sedimentation and 2-phase ultra-fine filtration enables a 3-phase filtration process. dopa coolant filtration systems are further equipped with:

  • Quick couplings on all electrical connections and media lines
  • Non-contact level monitoring with alarm function (acoustic & optical)
  • Acoustic and visual alarm in case of pump errors (e.g. mechanical blockage)

Various further options are available upon request. We build coolant filtration systems according to your needs. Please contact us to discuss your specifications.

Benefits of dopa coolant filtration systems

  • Cost effective alternative to centrifuges
  • Compact design
  • 3-phase filtration secures that particles ≥1µm are filtered out
  • Ultra-fine filtration allows usage in the production of high-end surfaces
  • Removable pump units enable very easy cleaning of the entire system
  • Significant minimization of noise and vibration in the working area

Grinding Wheels

Grinding Wheels

We develop and produce grinding wheels for all machine types and sizes – for single- as well as double-sided machines. Depending on your very needs, we will create the best grinding wheel to produce your components.

We gladly consult you:

  • At processing very sensible materials such as calcium fluoride or germanium
  • At grinding and polishing very hard materials such as sapphire, silicon carbide or spinell
  • When it comes to producing very thin substrates
  • At high requirements on flatness, parallelism, roughness or other specifications, that are important to you
  • Already during feasibility studies or prototyping phase to create viable solutions

Segmented

Segmented grinding wheels are used for grinding very thin parts or a high density of components. The segmentation of the grinding wheel is above all to avoid tilting of the processed parts and to improve the edge sharpness.

The gap between the segments can be chosen flexibly and is usually determined by the size of the smallest components that need to be processed.

Pelleted

Pelleted grinding wheels are used where high removal rates combined with relatively low pressure are required.

These grinding wheels ensure a good removal of chipping and therefore avoid that clogging of the tools.

Grit size and pattern are completely flexible. We produce grinding wheels customized exactly to your production needs.

Fully Covered / Smoothed

Fully covered grinding wheels are typically used when many small items need to be processed at the same time. In the micro optics or watches industry, for example, several hundred components are ground simultaneously.

The full coverage ensures that all components are processed evenly on the grinding wheel. It avoids clipping or tilting of parts during the transition from one grinding segment to the next.

Subsequently, the edge quality of the components is improved and the risk of damage minimized, while the surface finish is significantly increased.
