WAMP Mounting Film

dopa WAMP mounting film is used to securely fix parts for single side grinding, lapping and
polishing processes on mounting plates. WAMP is a double-sided adhesive foil with a thickness tolerance of only about ± 1μm. Without preheating the base plate, it can be fast and easily applied and the components mounted.

Several glueing, cementing and optical contact bonding processes can be substituted with WAMP. It is compatible with glass, ceramic and metal base plates and nearly all types of substrates.

Thanks to the WAMP’s very high parallelism and homogeneity, you can produce very parallel parts, cut down the waxing error and have a stable process.

The WAMP mounting film has a thickness of about 0.246 mm (delivery state) and is made of 3 different layers:

LayerDescriptionThickness
1st Layer:Protective film0.036 mm
2nd Layer:WAMP film0.174 mm
3rd Layer:Protective film0.036 mm

WAMP is available in 3 different color-coded release temperatures:

TypeRelease Temperature [°C]
Carbon-black WAMP> 50 °C
Green WAMP> 50 °C
Red WAMP> 80 °C
Purple WAMP> 100 °C

You will find all necessary details how to use WAMP in our tutorial

Benefits of WAMP

  • Easy and fast to apply

Coolant filtration systems

Recycling, filtration and temperature controlled

We build efficient coolant filtration systems for processing, filtering, pumping and temperature
controlling coolants and cutting fluids. Our coolant filtration systems can be utilized in the machining of glass, ceramics and metals. They are suitable for grinding, generating, sawing and milling machines and serve as a substitute for centrifuges. The integrated water-water-chiller can be connected with the central cooling system or external cooling unit.

The combination of sedimentation and 2-phase ultra-fine filtration enables a 3-phase filtration process. dopa coolant filtration systems are further equipped with:

  • Quick couplings on all electrical connections and media lines
  • Non-contact level monitoring with alarm function (acoustic & optical)
  • Acoustic and visual alarm in case of pump errors (e.g. mechanical blockage)

Various further options are available upon request. We build coolant filtration systems according to your needs. Please contact us to discuss your specifications.

Benefits of dopa coolant filtration systems

  • Cost effective alternative to centrifuges
  • Compact design
  • 3-phase filtration secures that particles ≥1µm are filtered out
  • Ultra-fine filtration allows usage in the production of high-end surfaces
  • Removable pump units enable very easy cleaning of the entire system
  • Significant minimization of noise and vibration in the working area

Please see the data sheet – dopa coolant filtration systems to access the detailed machine description. (PDF).

Grinding Wheels

Grinding Wheels

We develop and produce grinding wheels for all machine types and sizes – for single- as well as double-sided machines. Depending on your very needs, we will create the best grinding wheel to produce your components.

We gladly consult you:

  • At processing very sensible materials such as calcium fluoride or germanium
  • At grinding and polishing very hard materials such as sapphire, silicon carbide or spinell
  • When it comes to producing very thin substrates
  • At high requirements on flatness, parallelism, roughness or other specifications, that are important to you
  • Already during feasibility studies or prototyping phase to create viable solutions

Segmented

Segmented grinding wheels are used for grinding very thin parts or a high density of components. The segmentation of the grinding wheel is above all to avoid tilting of the processed parts and to improve the edge sharpness.

The gap between the segments can be chosen flexibly and is usually determined by the size of the smallest components that need to be processed.

Pelleted

Pelleted grinding wheels are used where high removal rates combined with relatively low pressure are required.

These grinding wheels ensure a good removal of chipping and therefore avoid that clogging of the tools.

Grit size and pattern are completely flexible. We produce grinding wheels customized exactly to your production needs.

Fully Covered / Smoothed

Fully covered grinding wheels are typically used when many small items need to be processed at the same time. In the micro optics or watches industry, for example, several hundred components are ground simultaneously.

The full coverage ensures that all components are processed evenly on the grinding wheel. It avoids clipping or tilting of parts during the transition from one grinding segment to the next.

Subsequently, the edge quality of the components is improved and the risk of damage minimized, while the surface finish is significantly increased.

Grinding & Polishing Pellets

Grinding & Polishing Pellets

We produce diamond pellets in various dimensions, grit sizes and chemical-mechanical properties. They are used as a single pellet tool or combined as a multi pellets on radius- or plano grinding wheels.

We have specialized on resin and hybrid bonded tools. Those two bond types give us the highest degree of freedom in directing the chemical, mechanical and physical tool properties.

The hybrid bond combines the benefits of metal bonded tools (cutting performance, endurance and good cooling properties) and resin bonded tooling (homogeneous scratch-free surfaces, very low sub surface damage, optically measurable after grinding, reduced polishing times).

Whatever bond type you choose – all dopa tools are characterized by their ability to achieve very high surface cleanliness as well as high dimensional accuracies. Therefore, they are widely used in precision optics, semiconductor, medical or space applications.

Our polishing pellets substitute polishing compounds such as polyurethane pads, pitch or composite materials. They consistently hold their shape and enable you hereby producing very precise workpieces.

We always have large amount of our standard pellets on stock and can dispatch your order very quickly.

Benefits of Diamond Pellets

  • Excellent cutting performance, endurance and high heat delivery from cutting zone
  • Homogeneous scratch-free surfaces
  • Optically measurable after grinding
  • Reduced polishing times
  • Long life-time
  • Their ability to achieve polished surfaces
  • High dimensional accuracy
  • Very clean process
  • High process repeatability
  • Low sub surface damage
